Business Disaster Preparedness Workshop

A practical, hands-on workshop designed to help small businesses prepare for disruptions, protect employees and assets, reduce downtime, and strengthen financial recovery readiness.

This is a no-cost workshop generously funded by the California Arcata Chamber of Commerce, Office of Business (GoBiz) and the SBA.

This series is being taught by:

  • Michelle Donahue, Arcata Fire District Volunteer Logistics Unit
  • Eric Mikolai, Certified Capital Advisor and SBDC Lending Specialist
  • Rosa Dixon, Ex. Director of Humboldt Made and Owner-Operator of Natural Decadence

  • The Startup Humboldt Innovation Hub (876 7th Street). In-person attendance is required.
  • Workshop on Monday, March 23rd 5:30PM – 8:00PM.

  • Create clear emergency procedures for staff and customers
  • Protect equipment, inventory, and critical data
  • Organize financial records for faster recovery

  • Identify mission-critical operations and key dependencies
  • Develop strategies to maintain or quickly resume operations
