The 2019 Business Succession Program continues with a much-requested session for owners who know how important a well-managed transition will be to their business and legacy. This Program is made possible by a grant from The Headwaters Fund.

Topics:

Finding (or identifying & grooming) the right successor(s)

Preparing yourself for the transition -- how to communicate, when and how to step back, what to keep control of

Preparing your team for the transition

Business operations before the sale -- checklist of what should be evaluated to make sure it’s working right, what needs to be documented, etc.

Working with the new owners and your (former) team after the sale

Participants who want to get a better idea about their business’s readiness to sell can complete an 18 question self assessment and access a no cost deep dive assessment with our regional SBDC specialist.
