About Me:

Alan is an entrepreneur, educator, and a business mentor who started his career in the hospitality industry where he gained extensive experience in business and management becoming an assistant manager of a Marriott hotel. In addition, Alan was instrumental in the starting and growing of two small businesses; one of which went public in 2000. Alan joined the SoCal SBDC in 2003 as a business advisor and spent over 17 years creating success stories with his clients.

He became a champion of start-ups for 9 years, got yearly awards for capital injection, jobs created and retained, along with the SBDC State Star Award in 2016.

In 2022 Alan joined the NorCal SBDC as a Regional Assistant Director to continue pursuing his passion for helping small businesses, start and grow. Alan is currently a contracted advisor with several Northern California SBDC centers.
