About Me:

Luke Kennedy is the program manager with the North Coast Small Business Development Center. Luke’s background includes 5 years of retail sales at the Tommy Hilfiger Camarillo Outlet, a bachelor’s degree in business administration accounting from Cal Poly Humboldt, and tax accountant experience at local CPA Firms in Humboldt County. After graduating in 2024, Luke began his work in economic development at the North Coast SBDC. Since then, Luke has had the opportunity to support entrepreneurs with starting, building, and strategizing businesses across Humboldt and Del Norte County.

He has expertise in laying out the foundational steps to starting your business, which often includes business registration, basic licensing and permitting, and drafting a business plan. Additional areas of expertise include budgeting, management, customer service and strategy; offering a well-rounded and valuable resource for entrepreneurs seeking to start and grow a successful business. Starting your business can be a daunting task, but Luke’s goal is to make the process more approachable. Luke aims to make your vision clearer and your venture achievable.
