Nicholas Kohl

Business Advisor

North Coast SBDC

About Me:

Nicholas has been immersed in small business for over 30 years. With experience in management, development, and operation in service and retail sectors as well as project and asset management of commercial property he has engaged all aspects of commercial endeavours. He began managing small retail locations in 1994 then operated his own businesses, 321 Coffee (2004-2007) and Oberon Grill (2007-2022). As he began to grow these entities, the role of mentorship became an important aspect. In 2012 he began mentoring staff members and slowly extended that mission to others outside of his employ. After stepping away from direct operational ownership, the role of mentor has become even more important. Sharing his experience and insights with a goal of aiding other entrepreneurs is his mission.  At the North Coast SBDC he helps clients with accessing capital to start and grow their businesses, helps with developing business plans, aids in assessing risk and promotes the focus of profitability.
Small Business is a manifestation of Liberty. May we be free to chart our own path into the future.
