Frequently Asked Questions

I have a business idea, but not a business plan. Is that ok?
This program is specifically for people who are either already in business or who have worked hard to build their business plan and need help getting launched. HOWEVER, we can help you prepare yourself to be a strong candidate if you are committed to doing pre-work. Contact Leila at 707-445-9720 x212 or leila@northcoastsbdcorg to discuss it.
How much does the program cost if I don't income qualify?
The baseline program is worth $1,000 -- or more with optional workshops. If you don't income qualify but you are still a strong candidate we will try to help raise a sponsorship to cover your expenses.
I have to work this summer. What if the workshop times conflict with my work hours?
Apply anyway and let's talk through how to make it work.
Do I have to go to all the workshops?
If a session is labeled "YE Session" (Young Entrepreneur Incubator Session) then it was created especially for this program and is mandatory. The others are optional depending on your needs and goals.
